Mascara has been around since the 1800s. It has come along way from how well it works today. Mascara is one the the most popular makeup products used by women after lip products. As females always strive to get their lashes longer, mascara is always a must have product in a makeup bag.

“I like mascara better than fake lashes because if you apply it properly with the right mascara, you can achieve the same look as wearing fake lashes,” senior Claudia Michelak said.

Longer, fuller, thicker lashes has become extremely trendy the past few months. Having bold lashes emphasizes the eye area massively and transforms a neutral look to become more dramatic.

“Fake lashes make me do a double take on girls,” senior Renato Barchi said.

Many girls today prefer using fake lashes over mascara due to giving the full affect. A tube of mascara usually lasts for approximately three months but it tends to dry up. However, lashes last until they are completely worn out and until the lashes fall off.
